Clearly one of the coolest parts of the whole “Klondike Grand Prize” thing, was that not only did I get a trip to New York City, but that I got to hang out with the lonely island guys (Akiva Schaffer, Jorma Taccone and Andy Samberg) who were also judges on the panel that determined me the final winner.
You may notice in the picture that my chair isn’t quite as awesome as theirs, but Akiva was nice enough to take a sharpie and write my name on the back so I wouldn’t feel left out.
One of the best things I noticed was how adept they are at getting things for free themselves. I mean, I’m pretty good at it, but these guys locked down a lifetime supply of Klondike bars for themselves, and even got to take these chairs with them. It was like studying at the feet of the masters.
Together we played Guitar Hero, watched my video and their 3 Klondike videos, talked about shitty jobs we’ve all worked and getting fired, and had a wonderful time. Now if I can just get them to join my google mailing list, we’ll be all set.

Me too, it’s not like we haven’t seen it before ;-p but, then this is a public forum and perhaps Joel would prefer not to scare the little kiddies.
