After a wonderful wedding weekend in Dayton, Ohio this weekend, I boarded a plane to Atlanta (to transfer for LAX). When I landed in Atlanta I got an email announcing the awesome news that I was announced as the grand prize winner of the TaxSlayer.com video contest, with a prize value of a whopping $25,000!
I couldn’t be more excited (or happier that I had bought that armor) for a couple reasons:
1) They had a lot of info they wanted included in the entries, and I spent a long time trying to figure out a creative idea to squeeze it all in, and was happy when I came up with that concept.
2) It sounds like (though I don’t have all the details) I am going to be working with those folks from the company this year to create a better quality version of the commercial. I am seriously hoping that means I’ll get to buy some kickass armor!
3) I am moving into a new home, and this money is going to allow me to color coordinate the new stuff, which is great, because I have created a new word to describe myself – craftsculine (crafty + masculine). It helps free me to maintain my masculinity and still sew pillows.
Anyway, here’s the winning video entry:
Congratulations! I just have one question (since you seem to have won EVERYTHING under the sun…) did you ever apply for that Best Job in Australia gig – in the great barrier reef for 6 months?
Thanks for the congrats, Miranda! I try my best but I definitely don’t win everything, and I did totally enter that Australia gig. That thing sounded sweet!
That’s what I figured, but your fans want to see the video!!!!! 🙂
