Kelley Blue Book Contest Entry – 2001 Volkswagon Passat

With only one day left before the Kelley Blue Book contest ended, I still wasn’t sure if I was going to enter because of one tricky part of the rules – you have to be able to drive stick to enter. Now, I have driven a stick once or twice a LONG time ago, but if you’ve got a new Porche, you might not want me behind the wheel. After some hemming and hawing, my wife told me she’d teach me to do it well, so I figured okay – I’ve got a day to play with, I’ll see what I can put together.

Supersteriously, I was worried that insulting our family car might lead to a car backfire, so I made sure to treat it to a nice car wash before the review, and frankly, I think the review is fair and honest, so car, let’s not hold any grudges.

The contest ends tomorrow and some of the other entries look SUPER slick (some don’t) but I’m hopeful that they’ll think my entry is cute. Oh, and I forgot to mention, one of the biggest reasons I entered – it’s judged. I don’t have to ask for a single vote from anyone. Whew!
